The Great Indee Experiment: The Audacity of Trying

12 Months. 12 New Experiences. 4 Comfort-Zone Challenges. One Woman Who Clearly Needs a Hobby.

You don't have to reinvent yourself at midlife. Sometimes you just need the audacity to try something new. I'm Indee. This is the plan—and, eventually, the evidence.

Currently in the planning stage. The experiment begins in January 2027.

An open notebook, blank postcards and pressed wildflowers lie on a sunlit table.

The notebook is ready. The comfort zone is less enthusiastic.

Comfort-zone challenges

One bigger leap each quarter. Courage currently under construction.

Updated by hand as the experiment unfolds. These are completed experiences, not good intentions.

Twelve months. Twelve firsts.

No carefully curated bucket list yet. Each month gets one completely new experience—and an honest account of how it went.

Dare Me, Mayhapsibly

Got an experience you think I should try? Dare me.

The calendar still has plenty of blank pages and a suspicious lack of good ideas. Send yours in, and I'll consider it. Mayhapsibly. No promises, but I do own a notebook and a sense of curiosity.

A word from the author

Meet the Woman Behind the Questionable Decisions

Hello, I'm Indee. I'm not an influencer, an expert or a person with a ten-step plan. I'm just a curious woman at midlife who decided that a year of trying new things might be more fun than another year of wondering about them.

Expect honest stories, unglamorous details and the occasional wobble. If you've ever thought, “maybe I should try that,” pull up a chair.

A woman laughs while holding a creased paper map beside a battered suitcase on a station bench.

Wish you were here. Or at least slightly lost with me.

Fresh from the notebook

The first dispatch is about getting started. Monthly adventure reports begin after the experiment starts in January 2027.

A woman in an olive jacket and boots walks a muddy wildflower trail, backpack slightly crooked.

Not every trail is tidy. Neither is every story.

The thoroughly unglamorous reporting checklist

Every monthly adventure report will include photographs, expectations versus reality, what it cost, surprises, lessons learned, a questionable-but-honest verdict, and the all-important question: would I do it again?

No completed adventures yet. The blank pages are genuine.
